🐾 Tucker – a joyful spirit with a one-of-a-kind stride 🐾

Tucker is a gorgeous boy who came to us through the stray kennels, so his history is unknown. We estimate he’s around 3 to 4 years old, though his playful energy and puppy-like enthusiasm suggest he might be younger at heart.

He was briefly rehomed, but sadly returned when his new family found his energy levels a bit too much for them. Tucker is lively, affectionate, and full of zest—he’ll thrive in a home that can match his spirit and guide him with patience.

One thing you’ll notice straight away are Tucker’s back legs. They’re visibly different, and after thorough checks including X-rays and a consultation with a specialist vet, the consensus is to leave them be. His kneecaps face the wrong way, causing his legs to bend unusually. Surgery was investigated, but it would be major and largely cosmetic. Tucker isn’t in pain, and his legs don’t hold him back—he runs, plays, and enjoys life just like any other dog. He may be prone to arthritis earlier than most, but this would be the case with or without surgery.

Tucker will need training in all areas. On a lead, he doesn’t pull excessively but does spin and weave around. Off-lead, he tends to stay close but can get distracted now and then. He absolutely loves the company of other dogs, and we believe he’d do best in a home with a calm, confident canine companion who can help show him the ropes.

Tucker is a special boy with a huge heart. He’s ready for a home that sees past his quirks and embraces his joyful, loving nature.
