Meet Rudy – a lively little lad looking for a fresh start

Rudy is one of several dogs who have recently arrived with us from the stray kennels. Because he came in without any registered microchip details, we have no background information on him — not even an exact age. Our best guess is that he’s around 3–4 years old, but it’s difficult to be certain.

What we can say is that Rudy is a bright, excitable, friendly chap who loves meeting people and generally gets on well with other dogs. He’s full of enthusiasm for life and brings a lovely energy wherever he goes.

On the lead, Rudy can be a bit keen and will pull, but thanks to his small size this is very manageable and should improve with consistent training. His recall will also need work — likely one of the reasons he found himself as a stray. At the moment we haven’t let him off lead on walks, as even catching him in the kennel area can be a bit of a comedy routine.

Rudy is looking for a home that can offer patience, structure, and plenty of positive training to help him reach his potential. In return, he’ll bring fun, affection, and a huge amount of character.
