Meet Harry – a charming show‑type Springer Spaniel looking for his fresh start

Harry has joined us through no fault of his own after his owner sadly became too unwell to care for him. He’s a handsome lad with a lovely nature, and he’s proven himself to be friendly with both people and other dogs. He’s a happy, sociable boy who enjoys company and loves being part of the action.

Out and about, Harry can be strong on the lead, but once he’s off it he relaxes and enjoys exploring. He’s a big fan of playing ball and will happily splash about retrieving toys from the water — classic Springer fun.

Like many Spaniels, Harry has a couple of quirks that need a home willing to work with him. He’s extremely food‑motivated and won’t hesitate to help himself if given the chance, so secure food storage is essential. He’s also carrying a bit of extra weight, so a sensible diet and regular exercise will be important for him.

Harry can become over‑excited when visitors arrive or leave, which may involve barking or jumping. This is manageable with consistency and calm handling, but it’s something his new family should be prepared for.

Harry cannot live with cats, but could live with a compatible dog after introductions.
