Chase came to rescue along with his brother earlier this year, they had lived on large Scottish estates and although we were told they were working dogs we feel they were more likely just allowed to run wild, as they are pretty wild LOL. We initially rehomed them as a pair and although they stayed in the home a few months they were recently returned as they were difficult to manage as a pair when out and about. After speaking to the trainer who had tried to help we have made the decision to separate them.
Chase is loving, full of fun and very lively, he loves to play with toys and balls and could do so all day long. He is good in the home, will settle down after a walk and can be left for a few hours without issue. He does like to pinch things but only for mischief, he doesn't destroy them and will give them back. He is very strong on a lead and a little unpredictable (he stops then runs to end of the lead if given the chance), his owners took him to training to help with htis and he can apparently do loose lead walking at the training centre and in the garden but forgets that as soon as he leaves home - LOL. Off lead needs work too, Chase can run and run he will go through/over any boundry to see what is beyond, he does always come back but it can be a safety issue. He can also be over excited to see other dogs and will run over to play, he is however quite rough and will nip sometimes frightening both the dogs and their owners.
Chase can be quite dominant with Hunter and at times jealous so we think if he was to be homed with another dogs it shoudl be a bitch and once which has a calmer temperament to him. He will need some one to one training so if you do have another dog you need to have the time to give that one to one time without it being an issue to your other dog.
