BERT (COCKER) - REHOMED

Bert is an 8‑month‑old Cocker Spaniel puppy who arrived in rescue with his sister, Ellie.

He’s a tiny lad with a gentle soul, and although he started out very shy, he’s growing in confidence every single day. Once he decides you’re safe, he’s incredibly sweet, affectionate and trusting.

Bert hasn’t had many experiences or much training in his young life, so he often feels younger than his age. He’ll need patient guidance in all areas of puppyhood — everything is new to him — but he’s eager to learn and loves reassurance.

He would likely benefit from a calm, friendly dog in his new home to help show him the ropes and give him confidence as he settles into family life.  He has never been without a canine companion so having a friend will make things seem more normal for him.

Bert does have two retained testicles, which means his neutering will be a little more complex than usual. This will need to be done when he’s older, and our vet has advised waiting until around 18 months so he has time to build confidence first. SYESSR will cover the full cost of this procedure.

Bert is a truly lovely boy who just needs a kind, steady home to help him blossom. With patience and love, he’s going to make the most wonderful companion.
