Recycling is a fabulous way to raise funds for rescue as everyone is a winner, you can help the environment and help the rescue doggies without it costing you a penny.

We already raise funds by recycling the following items but if you know of anything else we can recycle to raise funds please let us know.

Used Pens, Felt Tips, Highlighters, Correction Fluid etc

Writing Instruments are something that most of us use everyday in schools, at work and at home. Thanks to the Writing Instruments Brigade®, when you have finished with them we can now recycle them, raising funds for rescue and at the same time take a step to help protect the environment.

Every ballpoint pen, felt tip, propelling pen, correction fluid, marker and highlighter can be collected, regardless of their brand or material.

Why not have a box at work and ask everyone there to collect them too. Once the box is full drop us a line and we will send you a pre-paid label so that you can post it off with no cost to either ourselves or you.

Tassimo TDISCs and foil packaging

If you are a Tassimo user you can raise money for us by recycling your used Tassimo TDISCs and foil packaging by recycling with www.terracycle.co.uk.

You can either register with the Tassimo Brigade yourself (remembering to add us as your chosen charity) and then when your box is full download a pre-paid postage label from the site and send it off.

Alternatively if you don't want to register once your box email us at mail@syessr.co.uk and we will send you a pre-paid postage label which will automatically add your recycling to our account instead.

Please do not just throw money in the dustbin, let us have it instead. We will get 2p for every item of waste you return, it may not sound a lot but every penny counts and it soon adds up.

Kenco Eco Refill Coffee Bags

If you buy the Kenco Eco Refill Coffee bags not only can you help the environment by using them instead of jars you can also raise funds for rescue by recycling them with www.terracycle.co.uk.

You can either register with the Kenco Eco Refill Brigade yourself (remembering to add us as your chosen charity) and then when you have a few to send in just download a pre-paid postage label from the site and send it off.

Alternatively if you don't want to register email us at mil@syessr.co.uk and we will send you a pre-paid postage label which will automatically add your recycling to our account instead.

You don't even have to put them in an envelope, just collect the bags inside another and once it is full stick the label to the bag and send it off like that.

Mo mobile_phones

Many people have old mobile phones stuck in drawers etc around the house. These can be worth £'s to us (even broken, faulty or locked ones). We do this via www.recycle4charity.co.uk, you can either register yourself and request a pre-paid envelope or email us at mail@syessr.co.uk and we will send you one.

Inkjet & Laser Cartridges

Inkjets can be found in printers, fax machines and most multifunction equipment. As a general rule if it fits in the palm of your hand and has a small metal circuit board on it - it is an inkjet. Epson and Kodak cartridges are ink tanks, not inkjets and

unfortunately cannot be recycled. We do this via www.recycle4charity.co.uk, you can either register yourself and request a pre-paid envelope or email us at mail@syessr.co.uk and we will send you one.

Laser toner cartridges are the ones used in the larger office type printers and these too can be recycled for cash. If you work for a company that will allow it why not recycle them to help us. Again we do this via www.recycle4charity.co.uk but with the Laser cartridges you need to collect them in a box and then once it is full register with the site and they will arrange for it to be collected free of charge.

Jewellery & Watches (Gold, Silver & Costume)

Please donate any unwanted jewellery towards this recycling appeal; gold, silver, costume jewellery, watches… Then all your unwanted items can be turned into a donation for our Springers.

You can do a full ”spring clean” of your jewellery box or just give items you no longer wear. Even damaged, broken and incomplete items will help; so all the odd earrings and snapped chains & beads are a great start!

DVD's and CD's

In the age of downloaded music and MP3 players etc many of us now have all our music stored on computer and no longer use our CD's. Why not clear some space for other things and donate them to us. We can now raise funds by recycling both CD's and DVD's. You can either bring them to us or if you are local give us a call we should be able to arrange to collect them. If you live further afield, email me a list of the CD's/DVD's you have along with their bar code number and I can send you a freepost label which will enable you to recycle them directly to our music magpie account.

If you have CD’s, DVD’s that you no longer use, we can now recycle them to raise funds for rescue.. Even better could you collect them from your work colleagues, if so we can arrange for you to be a sent a freepost box to place somewhere at work for people to fill.

Clothing

Clothing is proving to be a good way for us to raise funds, we can either sell on EBAY, at events or there are now a number of companies who will buy clothing from us. Why not take the opportunity to clear yourself some wardrobe space and help the Springers too. Obviously given the weight and size of clothing for us to recycle it you would need to live close enough to either bring it to us or for us to collect (just give us a call or email us).

BRIC a BRAC Etc

We attend a number of events at which we can sell bric a brac, toys etc and are always looking for new stock, just give us a call or email to arrange to bring it to us or if you are local for us to collect.
