ITEMS WE NEED FOR USE AT KENNELS
We always need items to use at kennels to make sure that while the dogs are there, they are as comfy and happy as possible. So if you can help by donating any of the following we will be really grateful.
Bedding and Towels - We get through huge amounts of bedding and towels so if you have any old towels, bedding, quilts etc that you don't need please send them our way.
Dog Treats - Our kennel fees include basic food but we like to give them treats every day too. Any treats that are donated mean that the dogs get to enjoy them but we can save our money to spend on other things (usually kennel and vets fees) Dog Toys - With the number of energy filled Springers we get coming through kennels we get through lots of toys and so are always looking for replacements. The favorites seem to be balls (no surprise there then) and as almost every dog takes one away with them when they leave the play area we go through a huge amount. Washing Powder/Liquid - This may sound a bit of a boring thing to donate but washing powder is something else we go through a lot of. Think about how many beds, towels etc you wash for your dog (especially in winter) and then times this by at least 10, our poor washing machine must be the hardest working machine in the area and we use lots of powder/liquid which can be quite expensive. Collars/Leads Etc - Many of the dogs that come into rescue come either without collars and leads or unsuitable ones. Our preference is for the half choke collars as they are the safest (we don't want dogs escaping when they don't know us) and flexi leads as they give the dogs the most freedom. We can however use any (old or new).
